We exist for the benefit of lupus patients and their loved ones. The longer name for Lupus is Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

It is a medical illness affecting the immune system in such a way that it starts to attack the patient's tissues instead of protecting them. For some it can be very mild, for others it may mean a lifelong illness with the potential for serious consequences such as kidney failure.
